OddWorks

Terms of Service

Effective: 1 October 2026

These Terms govern your use of OddWorks software and services that link to them. Product-specific provisions form part of these Terms and explain important boundaries for each covered product.

1. Products covered

These are the common Terms for OddWorks products that link to this page. They currently apply to Re:Stack, a browser workspace organisation, backup, recovery and synchronisation extension, and the development pilot of Re:Form, an encrypted browser form-draft recovery extension.

Recovery is best-effort and depends on browser permissions, compatible editable fields, available encrypted records and the current page. Re:Form does not guarantee recovery from every site or editor and does not submit a form on the user's behalf.

OddWorks may add product-specific provisions when a product is released. A separate agreement may apply where a product has materially different commercial, regulatory or operational requirements.

2. Acceptance and eligibility

By installing, accessing or using a covered OddWorks product, you agree to these Terms and the applicable Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the product.

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use a product for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that organisation.

3. Licence and permitted use

Subject to these Terms, OddWorks grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use the product for its intended purpose.

You may use the product for personal or internal business purposes. You must not:

  • use it unlawfully or to infringe another person's rights;
  • distribute, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit the product except where OddWorks has expressly permitted it;
  • circumvent security, access or usage controls;
  • introduce malicious code or interfere with the product, its distribution platform or connected services; or
  • misrepresent your relationship with OddWorks or the product.

Nothing in these Terms prevents conduct that applicable law expressly permits and does not allow to be restricted.

4. Your information and responsibilities

You remain responsible for the browser data, backups, configuration and other information you manage with the product, and for ensuring you are entitled to process that information.

You are responsible for protecting your devices, browser profiles, connected accounts and encryption credentials. You should keep independent backups of information that is important to you and review a recovery point before applying it.

5. Re:Stack-specific terms

Recovery and backups

Re:Stack is intended to improve browser workspace continuity, but it is not a guarantee against every form of browser, device, account, storage or data failure. Recovery results can depend on browser restrictions, available permissions, current URLs, third-party services and the condition of the source backup.

You should review recovery information before restoring it. Re:Stack may skip unsupported, restricted, duplicated or unavailable browser targets rather than forcing them open.

Encryption credentials

Encrypted Re:Stack backups may require the encryption passphrase used when they were created. OddWorks cannot recover an encrypted backup if the required passphrase is lost.

Local and cloud operation

Re:Stack can operate locally without optional cloud synchronisation. If you enable synchronisation, you authorise Re:Stack to communicate with the provider you select for the purpose described in the product and Privacy Policy.

6. Third-party platforms and services

Covered products may interoperate with browsers, extension stores, operating systems and optional services such as Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms and policies.

OddWorks does not control third-party availability, account decisions, quotas, API changes, browser restrictions or data retained directly by those providers. A third party may change or discontinue functionality on which an optional integration depends.

7. Updates and changes

OddWorks may update a product to add, change, repair or remove functionality, address security or compatibility, or comply with platform and legal requirements.

Where a change materially affects data handling, OddWorks will update its disclosures and seek any consent required by applicable law or platform policy. Some updates may be delivered automatically by the relevant browser or distribution platform.

8. Availability, previews and support

Products or features identified as preview, beta, experimental or coming soon remain under development and may be changed or withdrawn.

OddWorks does not promise uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every browser version, device, account configuration or third-party service. Any support offered is subject to available capacity unless a separate written support agreement applies.

9. Intellectual property

OddWorks and its licensors retain all rights in the products, branding, designs, documentation and other materials, except for rights expressly granted under these Terms. Third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners.

Your content and browser information remain yours. Using a product does not transfer ownership of that information to OddWorks.

10. Fees

Re:Stack is currently offered without an OddWorks usage fee. Third-party providers may apply their own account, storage, network or service charges.

If OddWorks introduces a paid product or feature, the price, billing period, cancellation terms and any additional commercial conditions will be presented before purchase.

11. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where a product or service is supplied to you as a consumer, statutory consumer guarantees may apply in addition to these Terms.

12. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, products are supplied on an “as available” basis. OddWorks does not promise that a product will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every environment, or capable of recovering every item in every circumstance.

These disclaimers do not limit any non-excludable consumer guarantee or other right under applicable law.

13. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, OddWorks is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of a product, including loss caused by a third-party platform, unavailable account, forgotten encryption passphrase or unsupported browser target.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. Any limitation is subject to the non-excludable rights described above.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using a product and uninstall it at any time. Uninstallation may remove locally stored product data; exported or cloud-hosted data may remain until separately deleted.

OddWorks may suspend or discontinue a product or your access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security, legal or platform requirements. Where practical, material discontinuation will be communicated through the product, website or distribution platform.

15. Changes to these Terms

OddWorks may update these Terms when products, commercial arrangements or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will be published here.

If a change materially affects existing users' rights or obligations, reasonable notice will be provided where required. Continuing to use a product after an updated version takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and OddWorks submit to the courts having jurisdiction there, subject to any rights you have to bring a claim elsewhere under applicable consumer law.
